Dec 04, 2009 The attached has my mappings that you can import through the lpd8 editor. Let me know how it works. I'll post my Traktor mapping when I'm done messing with it. Edit: It seems to me that Traktor only sends the signal to turn on/off the light once, and Akai sends the signal to turn it off as soon as you release the button. Mapping(s) for Akai, APC 40. I'm a noob in 'complex' MIDI mapping and I'm looking for simple but precise explanations. I have an Traktor Kontrol S4 and a Akai LPD8.

I also have a MPD32 unit for which I have updated the firmware to version 1.3. I'm running Windows XP and my PC recongnizes the MPD32 as 'USB Audio Device' which is normal from what I gathered on the web. Quality The controller appears to be more of a toy when shipped due to the packaging, but the controller itself feels and plays very solid. AKAI released this pad controller shortly after KORG introduced their nanopad and nanocontroller devices. This controller, while cheaper than the KORG, feels more solid than its competitor which feels kind of plasticky. I have yet to have mechanical problems with it while I previously had two nanopads which broke down after a couple of months. Ease of use Literally plug and play on PC. Switching through presets and programs is easy.
